Inside the Ferry. Clean and comfortable. If only our inter-island ferries were like this.

View from the ferry. A ship coming straight towards us.

MORE First Day Activities in Hong Kong

It was a tiring first day in HongKong. The tour we took also had us:
a) pass by Repulse Bay (the most-visited beach on the southern part of HK);
b) stop-over at Stanley Market (a shopper's paradise where you can find a variety of souvenirs as silk, garments, sportswear, CHinese artwork, and accessories);
c) take our lunch at Natural Gourmet Restaurant (located at the 3rd floor of Stanley Plza; where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the South China Sea and Stanley's beach);
d) and visit a jewellery factory (where you can find beautiful hand-crafted fine jewelry.

But our day's activities did not end with the tour and dinner in an authentic chinese restaurant. We were soon off to the Ladies market to look for more bargains. (We read in an in-flight magazine that there is also a Men's market somewhere in HongKong. )

Jumbo Floating Restaurant

At the far- center is the world renowned floating restaurant in Aberdeen. The one anchored in Manila Bay (just behind the Coconut Palace) really looks the same.
