Disney HK - Festival of the Lion King

After coming back from "Tarzan's Tree House Island", we were just tired and a bit exhausted by the heat of the afternoon sun. We came to the entrance of the Lion King Festival. We heard drums beating and whistles blowing and we thought that it was a parade. We went to an area where there was a throng of people forming and sat down nearby just waiting for things to happen. After some time, there still was no parade and the drum beating just got louder. Then we saw the crowd lining in front of a gate and so we just followed them. When it was opened we were pleasantly surprised to be going to an air-conditioned auditorium/theatre/hall. At last a cool place to rest.

It was then that we realized that it was going to be a real show. We got excited. True enough, this was one of the highlights in Hong Kong Disneyland that should not be missed. It had beautiful props, costumes, lighting, performances and music! To add to the asian flavor, they had acrobats and circus antics added. Children and adults really enjoyed the show. And it was great seeing the familiar and funny characters from the movie.

Better look at the schedules for the show early on and line up around 30 minutes ahead.
